Overview
PMINJ sees 2026 as an investment year. Investment in our members, new and existing, in our infrastructure and in our ability to expand Statewide member service delivery.
• We will execute on our duty to provide increasing value to both our existing and incoming members by:
• Challenging the old and well-worn with fresh ideas and new ways of doing what we do
• Placing renewed emphasis on Volunteerism and “volunteer careers”
• Showcasing event activity with names that draw crossover audiences and deliver home-grown curated talent• Generating a hybrid/social focus with energy
• We will embrace the competition (Scrum Alliance, PRINCE2) by presenting offerings (programs, events) that those practitioners find attractive.
• We will continuously retool our offerings, Project and Project Manager Awards and scholarships for higher visibility and more competition
• We will leverage our experience, talent, data and energy as one of the New Member Model’s leading Chapters

Community Environment
As of Q12026, PMINJ has 4,841members. The Chapter is responsible fordelivering member services to the entire State of New Jersey, where ouranalytics suggest we may have a target population in the range of 170,000 –250,000 professionals working in project management roles. As we enter 2026 we face head-on thechallenges that many Chapters will encounter. However, in New Jersey, themost densely populated state in the Country, we feel the pressures of economicstagnation and the impact of AI on jobs in our sector. Our efforts to deliver services to members ina changing market, as a result, focus on pragmatic skills development, networking and keeping ahead of the technology curve.
As welook towards 2027 and beyond, we will continue to work with our partner ATPs todeliver economical and practical certification preparation services, ourAcademic partners with whom we join in preparing the next generation of projectmanagement professionals, and commercial experts such as McKinsey, with whom wewill be launching the first open year for a joint leadership developmentprogram.
Real Chapter Value
Our membership is distributedunevenly across 21 New Jersey counties and outside the state. Despite being the 4th smallest State inthe Union, we cover more than 8,700 square miles and are the most denselypopulated State in the Country. Located between major urban centers like NewYork City and Philadelphia we deal with an extensive suburban development andcommuter population. These are allcontributing factors to the need for the PMINJ to stay nimble and be present ina wide variety of venues. It’s thereason our Chapter motto is “Wherever you are, we are there with you”. This is not hyperbole – our monthly meetings, routinely attended by up to 500 members, are not only streamed via internet, but hosted in satellite sites across the State. We have 232 active volunteers supporting our 4,841 members, social media presence and mailing list of more than 30,000. Volunteers are provided with domain emailaddresses, MS Office 365 services and discounts for events such as our annualsymposium.
